Shazam app not working on iPhone

I just did a chat with Apple Support.

Solution: Go to Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text Size & turn off bold text.

Apparently from a recent update this is the walk around for the issue. It worked for me & my partners phone.

How frustrating but fixable. Good luck :)

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this issue and its fix, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

just downloaded the latest Shazam update available on Wednesday 10/11/23 and it seems to have addressed and fixed the issue of the app not loading.

After downloading the update the app works with using the bold font on my phone.

IT WORKED! THANKS. Turn off BOLD TEXT. Wish I would have gone in here before I deleted app. I lost all 300 + songs. I am sure I will find again. Some were good mementoes though and may not come back around.

just discovered the Shazam app not working on my iPhone…. when I press the app… it fades out for a second … the app doesn’t load… and it goes back to my original screen

found a fix that on YouTube that does seem to work….

check to see if your text font is set to bold (as mine was)…. and slide it to off

after doing this my Shazam seems to be back

If you want to fix Shazam, all you do is:

1 - Go into Settings

2 - Click on Accessibilty

3 - Click on Display & Text Size

4 - Turn OFF “Bold Text”

That will fix it instantly! I don’t know why, but it does.

I have been having the same issue and tried all the same things: delete app, turn off phone, reinstall - nothing worried UNTIL I read a solution here: go to accessibility, display and text then turn off bold text - bingo it works since new upgrade this is very odd fluky upgrade thing but I don’t care, it works!! Thank you!!!

Someone suggested going to settings down to accessibility, then to display and text size … turn off bold text and get Shazam app back . I did exactly that and it came back straight away! 😃🙄

My Shazam finally works again on my iPhone 13 Pro. I went to settings, accessibility, display text & size and turned bold text off.

No. I did not reload Shazam. I did the fix related to accessibility text size, and turning bold off. Strange solution, but that’s what works for me. History is still intact.

If you want to fix Shazam, all you do is:

1 - Go into Settings

2 - Click on Accessibilty

3 - Click on Display & Text Size

4 - Turn OFF “Bold Text”

That will fix it instantly! I don’t know why, but it does.
