How can I switch off tv with Apple remote?

I actually have an Apple TV 4K 2022 connected to a Sony KD-43XF7596 TV and Sonos ARC via the 4k Arkana adapter.

I can then switch the tv on and regulate volume by using the Apple remote, but I can’t manage to switch the Sony TV off by switching the Apple TV off.

Actually all my Bravia sync options are ok, but still can’t manage.

any suggestion?

Thank-you very much in advance

Verify that Apple TV also has the CEC setting turned on: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On.

I would expect this to be supported for any 2018 model TV. It is up to each manufacturer for which CEC commands a device will listen to and execute. Apple can’t make a TV do things that the TV isn’t programmed to do. Ask Sony if it is supported for this model TV, to be set to standby by an HDMI-connected device through CEC. Technically, through CEC, the TV doesn’t get this command from the remote directly, but from the Apple TV box.
