Using camera when on a conference call

My MacBook Pro will not let me access my camera when I want to do a conference call.

Using iMac camera Looking at the questions, an answer. It looks like this is never actually answered by Apple support. I have a MacBook, and I have an iMac with the built-in camera, why if it’s both products from Apple, do they not speak together? I would like to be able to take video calls, initiating it on my MacBook, but then be able to use the screen and the camera on my iMac, as if the better height. Using things like FaceTime and other video platforms. How has it not been addressed by Apple? If it has, can you please forward me this information, thank you.

How can I use continuity camera with my Mac studio when it isn't connected to a webcam to begin with? I connect my mac studio to a monitor that doesn't have a camera. So when using any video call related app the camera is immediately off. Zoom for example there is no option to "change camera". There is no camera connected to begin with so I have no drop down menu to select my iPhone in zoom or meets. It works with my macbook, but my macbook has a webcam. I want to use this continuity camera with my desktop because it doesn't have a webcam to begin with.
