Why do I see a Blue box and not able to access emails on my iPhone?

Every time i open any email it shows a blue box and a question mark. I have very important emails i need to access but i can’t because of this. I’ve tried every email app, and even loading “block all remote content”. No help at all I’m using the iPhone 13

I had the same problem since IOS 17.3.1 update to 11 ProMax No images in emails just blue question marks instead. Apple tech had no solution flipped lots of switches nothing helped. Articles and chat rooms had nothing. I repeatedly reset my network and then did a phone reset no help. Very frustrating. I went to settings then mail then privacy protection. Protect mail and block all images already were off. Then on a whim disabled Hide IP Address. Images now appear. I am monitoring to determine if resolved. Don’t know why it works but it does for me. So far so good for the last 24 hours. Try it and LMN if it works for you.

I am not an Apple tech and don't have knowledge of what that is. I simply was sharing as an Iphone user experience. If yours is a Mac issue and that is a High Sierra program....as revealed when I googled HS 10.13.6 ..have you seen the online articles that state it was discontinued? There are posts at various places about that and how to update.
