Apple watch series 8, screen issue

My watch face displays photos which scroll through. At the bottom of the watch face, there is now a light colored bar, from one side of the watch face to the other. It is just below the digital time display. It just appeared yesterday. It does not appear to be a "status icon" of any kind, as far as I can determine. Is there maybe something faulty with my watch? I've had the watch for 9 months.

Hi redmoon33,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since restarting can fix many issues, try restarting your Apple Watch:

Press and hold the side button until the sliders appear
Tap , then drag the Power Off slider to the right.
To turn your Apple Watch back on, hold down the side button until the Apple logo appears

If it displays on the Apple logo screen as well, this would be a hardware issue that will require service. Contact Apple Support for service options.
