The photo widget says No photos available. This happened with the latest update. How do I get this populated and have the photos and memories scroll?

Hi @applebee96.

thank you for your response. I did exactly as you told and it did not work for me. I suspect there may be a bigger issue going on for me.

Hey there,

There are two types of Photos Widget (each with different size variations):

A. Featured: It shows the pictures from the "For You" section in Photos Apps on shuffle. It has the Featured Photos and Memories. If you have the "Show Featured Content" option turned off in Settings, then the Widget will appear blank. To turn that option on, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings

2. Open Photos

3. Scroll down to the bottom.

4. You'll see a option of "Show Featured Content" under "MEMORIES & FEATURED PHOTOS". Toggle it on.

Now, it should work.

B. Album: You can choose a particular Album from Photos to display on shuffle in the widget. If the chosen Album is empty, then the widget will appear blank. Add some photos to that Album or choose another one.

Have a good day!
