Are existing Pre-paid subscriptions refunded when Apple One is added?

If an Apple TV+ subscription is pre-paid for say the next 16 months, and I add Apple One that includes Apple TV+, how much is refunded? Are the next 16 months refunded? Is the next month refunded on a pro-rata basis, and the remaining 15 months fully refunded? Or is only the next month refunded on a pro-rata basis, while the remaining 15 months are just lost value?

The public support documents do not detail this particular situation, so it is best to ask the Apple Support staff directly.

16 months

Not sure where you got that from. 12 months should be the maximum. 😉

Thanks. Apple Support staff seemed to believe that only the trial month was refunded pro-rata, and all future months of the prepaid subscription would be foregone/lost in purchasing Apple One. But, they couldn't say definitively. It's like you have to buy Apple One to find out what's in Apple One, and what the outcome will be. Also, subscriptions for Apple TV+ bought from an online store like Costco can be stacked. Adding more than one extended the expiration date for the subscription.
