Voicemail and recent call issue

I have 2 iPhone 13’s that both use my Apple ID but operate completely independent. At least until iOS 17 was installed on both. Each phone works great except since the 17 install, the voicemail list and the recent call list contain calls from both phones - not just the ones associated with each phone. Both lists show all calls and voicemails saved on BOTH phones. Is this a bug or an “enhancement”???

Hey there Moomps,

When using the same Apple ID on different devices, it is expected for the content to sync to each of them. This will include call logs and other data, like iCloud Photos or messages.

hc1111 - thanks for the response. I realize that I should have different apple ids on each phone and I will do that, but my concern is that something in the iOS 17 release has made the voicemail messages and the recent call list populate on both phones where nothing has been a problem in the past. And, nothing else seems to be effected other then those two items such as photos or messages.

That’s the confusing part.

Thanks again - Moomps
