Overheat Iphone 15plus

Anyone knows about the overheat problem? There is news about the overheated Iphone 15 pro max with the A17 pro bionic chip, but the Iphone 15 plus I got with A16 chip is having the same issue, especially when I open up mobile data, even browsing and swiping Instagram will cost the phone to get overheat. It was unbearable to hold it in hand for too long.

Hey there HiOverheatIphone,

iOS 17.0.3 has become available and address an issue of iPhone running warmer than expected. To help troubleshoot the issue, ensure your devices are updated: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Keep in mind, setting up or restoring your iPhone can cause the device to feel warm. Check out that information, and further troubleshooting, in the article below:

If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support

If the issue persists, reach out to Apple Support to help investigate the behavior. You can use the following link to reach out: Apple Support

Kind regards.

Hello HiOverheatIphone,

If you haven't already done so, you'll also want to make sure that your apps are up to date:

1. Open the App Store.
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
3. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

You can also find those steps in this resource: How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support

Should that behavior still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.

Take care.
