My AirPods cuts out with MacBook only, though iPhone connection is always good

My AirPod sound cuts in and out with MacBook only.

With apple music and google meet though chrome browser, the sound is continously cuts in and out.

When it connected with iPhone, it hears really well.


This problem is still remained after update the OS to Sonoma.

We'd love to help see if we can resolve the issue. If it is only happening in third-party apps, it could be an issue with those apps. We'd recommend checking to see if there are any app updates that need to be installed if that is the case. We'll also include some further things to try below for you.


  1. Unpair the AirPods with the MacBook.
  2. Forget the bluetooth connection
  3. Then Set up AirPods with your Mac and other Bluetooth devices - Apple Support
  4. Restart your MacBook.
