does an Iphone 11 Prox Max have a sim card to be removed prior to trading it in?

Hey Sandyw66,


The iPhone 11 Pro Max will definitely have at least one nano-SIM card. It was a Dual SIM model with most devices having one physical SIM card and (in countries where eSIM was supported at the time of release) an eSIM option.


It's possible to have only the eSIM activated and not have a physical SIM card in your iPhone. If you're not sure which you had, you can pop open the SIM tray on the right side to check. This article has great visuals: Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone - Apple Support
