Iphone 14 pro camera lens damage (apparantly) due to laser light

My 5 months old i phone 14 pro images and videos started having tiny water droplets like dots. Upon visiting the service centre, they confirmed its due to lens damage caused due to exposure of camera to high intensity laser light. I haven't exposed my phone to any such high intensity light, and apple is not ready to consider it under the one year warranty! Has anyone else come across such an issue?
