How to get refund if I purchased VPN subscription in App Store using Apple Pay

That is the key. Forgetting to cancel a free trial is not a valid reason to get a refund. I would suggest to never subscribe to a free trial unless you are absolutely sure that you are going to cancel the subscription 24 hours before the trial ends. If you do not you will be charged for the subscription and a refund is not likely. That is not an accidental purchase as you agreed to this free trial with automatic subscription charge if not cancelled by double clicking the side bar with the subscription information on the screen, followed by verification with Face ID/Touch ID or passcode.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to refund an IAP (In App Purchase). Even if Apple did give you a refund, it would only be 30% of what you paid since Apple inflicts a 30% fee on IAPs. However I am wondering out of curiosity, how on earth did you manage to buy a subscription on accident?

Hi how did your refund process go in the end? I’m in a similar situation where my younger brother bought it without my knowledge on holiday to watch the football and I just received a notification that £111.99 has been taken from my account
