How do I request refund for accidental app subscription on App Store?

Dear Apple Support,

I request a refund for a ChatGPT subscription charged via Apple ID (s****ne@gmail.com). The money was taken, but no service was provided, as it was mistakenly applied to my deleted ChatGPT account (p******it@gmail.com). I had deleted that account long before subscribing again using my current account (s****ne@gmail.com). After the Apple payment, my current ChatGPT account still showed the Free Plan. I later made a manual purchase directly via ChatGPT browser, which is now active. Please process a refund for the first Apple transaction that went to the deleted account.

Refund me Rs 1999 as money debited on 22 June 2025 but NO service given as ChatGPT account (p******it@gmail.com) is inaccessible deleted status prior to subscribing.

I had talks with ChatGPT and they said that they do not have money of that deleted ChatGPT account and that I need to check with Apple only for this refund.

Thank you,

Pi******ne

If you got an email receipt and there's a 'Report a Problem' link in it, use that; otherwise, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for a refund.

The people on these boards are mostly other customers, not Apple Support, and can't grant refunds.

Unfortunately, you’ve reached the final stage.

Apple’s decision is final and no one can change their decision or alter the Refund policy.

According to Apple:

All Transactions are final.

Content prices may change at any time.

If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of Content, your exclusive and sole remedy is either replacement of the Content or refund of the price paid, as determined by Apple.

From time to time, Apple may suspend or cancel payment or refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, abuse, or unlawful or other manipulative behavior that entitles Apple to a corresponding counterclaim.

Thank you! 👋🏼😉

My case is fully eligible for a refund. Please read my original post again. I was charged for an inaccessible chatgpt account through my Apple ID. ChatGPT stated that they did not receive my money for it, and Apple Support denied my refund request. If Apple has not sent that money to ChatGPT, and ChatGPT is in the right but cannot reverse Apple’s decision, then what exactly Apple is doing with my money(for no service)?

I had series of discussions with ChatGPT and they said “you should get refund but we cannot intervene in Apple decision.”

If so then lesson learnt:”Never purchase/subscribe any app from Apple store”.

Thank You
