Unable to edit multiple albums in Music

Since the latest OS update, anyone else have this? I like to edit my music but it doesn't allow me to edit multiple albums at once anymore. It's fine if it's the same album, but you go to edit multiple at once, press ok and nothing happens.

I got an email from Apple's Discussion Board saying a user named Scratchy 78 did the same thing I did; got on the phone with Apple Support, spent several hours on the phone working on this, went through several different callers, and in the end the issue did not get resolved. Their reply to this thread seems to have been deleted, but I wanted to let you know that I did the same thing back in April. They promised to call me back that weekend once they had time to push a support ticket to the Music department, but I never received that call. I'm going to try again soon.

It's sad to see the Mac version of iTunes slowly degrade. It's been neglected for several years now. It's the Mac app I have the most issues with, which is unfortunate, because it's one of my most-used.

Good luck to anybody who's having the same issue are, we probably aren't going to see fixes any time soon.

I spent over an hour yesterday speaking to five persons at Apple Support about this issue, and no-one could resolve it. If I import multiple songs into Apple Music, highlight them all, right click on "get Info', make the desired changes and then click 'OK', nothing happens. Nada. It always used to work, but no longer does. The suggested solution is to create a 'Playlist' as opposed to an 'Album'. This is a very clunky 'solution', and ignores the fact that I now have dozens of single songs in my 'Recently Added' area, whereas they could have been condensed into albums. Of course, one can still edit one song at a time, but that is going backwards. The last person I spoke to at Apple did say that if enough people flag it, it is just possible that this can be looked into.

Yes, I saw that and he summed it up perfectly. I’ve been using the workaround of adding them to a playlist and selecting all but it’s so annoying when it used to work fine and they took it away for seemingly no reason.

Music also struggles to put them all in the same album even with the same information as well since the update last year. I have to mark them as a compilation then unmark them to get it to appear correctly on iTunes, and it still doesn’t always appear the same on devices.

I am having the same issues. Why would Apple get rid of this? On a regular basis, I upload Classical CD box sets and have to edit artist/album, etc. to keep them consistent across all albums in the box sets. Getting rid of the option to edit across multiple albums was one thing I liked about Music, now.... I don't want to, but I will have to migrate all of my music to another app. as this is just too onerous.

I've also been struggling to get songs to consolidate into an album for several years now. It's best to tag it in an external tag editor before importing it into Music, but even then, you never know if Music will consolidate them properly. If you make a mistake, it's extremely tedious to edit it. You can either suffer through making a playlist and editing tags there, editing them all individually, or moving all the files back into the tag editor, deleting the songs from Music, fixing the tags, and re-importing it.
