brand new Magic Mouse getting scratches out of nowhere

Hi everyone,

i bought just about 2 weeks ago a brand new magic mouse 3. it never left my desk and i am using it with a bare hand, i do not even wear rings or any kind of jewellery on my right hand, yet i just noticed some scratches on the top side.. i never dropped it, it always stays on a mousepad separately and never even touches other items. How can it be that it has scratches, especially within 2 weeks? has anyone had an experience like this?

Magic Mouse recently not as responsive on mousepads I'm having recent trouble with my Magic Mouse. It seems sluggish and does not respond well on various mousepads (I've tried three different pads). It hesitates as I drag it from side to side, and gets jumpy. The odd thing is, I can put the mouse directly on my wooden desktop, and it moves exactly like it is supposed to. I have a custom made desk, with a hand rubbed finish... so moving the mouse constantly on the desk is not ideal. It's starting to rub away the finish. I put the mouse back on any of the three pads, and it is instantly sluggish. Any thoughts?

erratic mouse How to clean optical sensor Someone suggested cleaning the optical sensor. How do you do that? I have two identical Apple mouse devices. One is erratic. The other is normal. Nothing erratic at all. Same mouse pad. So, either it could be the optical sensor, or the mouse is going bad. It's NOT the pad.
