deciding to upgrade or file claim
iphone 12 dropped water. won’t turn on at all. I owe $173 on phone yo go through insurance it would cost $99.
Should I pay it off and upgrade or use insurance since it’s an older model?

Well, if you pay it off, in the condition it's in, it is worth exactly $0.
If you use your insurance to get it replaced, you will still have to pay it off, but it will at least be worth something in trade.
