Hi there,

Your Apple TV utilizes HDMI-CEC to power on/off your TV; it does not use HDMI-CEC for adjusting the volume. This leads me to believe it may be an issue with your TV’s HDMI-CEC.

In the settings of your TV (not your Apple TV), check and see if there’s a way to disable HDMI-CEC, then re-enable it and check if that solves your issue.
