I’m trying to write a formula that if cell (A1) for example is greater or equal to 5, can it then divide 2 other cells say B1 and C1 to produce an answer in D1? If it is less than 5 I don’t want an answer in D1 as it won’t meet my criteria.
I hope it makes sense! Appreciate any help. Thank you.

Maybe your country settings require that you use semi-colons instead of commas to separate arguments, like this.
=IF(A1>=5;B1/C1;"")
Look in the Functions sidebar on the right when you start typing a formula to see what is used to separate arguments. If you don't see the Functions sidebar click on the Format paintbrush in the toolbar.
In D1:
=IF(A1>=5,B1/C1,"")

I’m sorry. I’ve tried it again and it didn’t work. I get a Syntax error that IF requires 2&3 arguments but this was given 1. What have I done wrong?

It's all working now. The colons were fine. It seemed to work once I removed the brackets.
