Hi Tothetop5060,

We see you'd like to disable the Dictation icon for Messages on your iPhone. You can go into settings to remove that. First, here's more about Dictation on your iPhone.

Dictate text on iPhone - Apple Support

  1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard.
  2. Scroll down to Dictation.
  3. Slide off Enable Dictation.
  4. Tap Turn Off Dictation.

That will disable Dictation and no longer show the icon for it in Messages.

Take care.

Hi Tothetop5060,

The symbol in your screenshot looks similar to the Accessibility feature of Voice Control. You can check at Settings > Accessibility. However, this symbol, when activated, will be in the upper left of the top status bar. Plus, it is a blue/white symbol.

Use Voice Control to interact with iPhone - Apple Support

It's possible that this orange symbol is for a third-party app. You can check in Settings and scroll down to see the apps installed.

Let us know what you discover.

Take care.
