Can I download songs from my phone onto a new ipod, or do I need to do it from a computer?

You cannot move (or copy) songs directly from your phone to an iPod.

If all your music is purchased from the iTunes Store, then sign into your account on the new device and download directly from your account in the store.

For music that you do not have on your computer:

    • music purchased form other stores (such as Amazon, Bandcamp etc.), you will need to download the songs from your account with that store to a computer and use iTunes to add them to your iPod
    • music copied from your CDs, re-copy from the CD into iTunes and use iTunes to copy to the iPod
