Watch showing wrong date every day

My watch shows yesterday's date every day. I go to settings and re-synch it, and that corrects it straight away, but the next day it is a day behind again.

Apple Watch, watchOS 4

Hey MikeV8,

Which version of watchOS is currently installed on your new Apple Watch? If you have any pending updates, let us know if the issue is resolved after installing: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If your Apple Watch is running the latest version of watchOS, try disabling "Set Automatically" in Settings > General > Date & Time on your iPhone to see if the behavior changes.

Let us know what happens! Take care.

Hi there MikeV8,

We'd suggest moving forward with updating your iPhone to iOS 17.0.3 and your Apple Watch to watchOS 10.0.2. If needed, learn how from the links below:

Take care.

Watch is on WatchOS 10.0.1 (apparently the latest). iPhone is on iOS 17.0.2. There is an update scheduled tonight.

I note that this version of WatchOSOS was public released 18th September, and that would roughly be when this issue first surfaced.

I'll check it tomorrow after IOS updates. Will delay trying turning iPhone Auto-Set Date&Time till after that, so that we don't have two changes and be unable to pinpoint which fixed it (if it does fix it).

Yes, iPhone is set to auto update to my timezone.

My iPhone correctly shows the date each day.

My Watch is set to Mirror iPhone.

Watch date is different to iPhone (1 day behind) each morning.

Watch displays correctly after forcing Sync Reset. I have to do this every day (which I'd rather not have the hassle... I'd rather go back to an analog watch that jest needs manual change for months less than 31 days).

I thought the Apple Watch was supposed to be smarter than that !
