How can I disable the Unlock Apple Watch with iPhone feature?

Look in settings on your watch (or the Watch app on your iPhone) under Passcode. Toggle off unlock with iPhone.

It’s another notification gimmick I don’t need!

Go to Apple Watch settings >> Passcode >> Unlock with iPhone

This has been driving me nuts for days too. I just searched for "unlock" in the watch app and found a toggle to turn it off under the passcode option

Go to your watch app then go to passcode and it should have the option at the top to turn off the locking mechanism

I want the feature but WITHOUT the pesky message!!! I used it before, I like it, but since they introduced the message is super annoying, often covers something you need. Whoever genius came up with this message needs to reassess their vocation.

Hi I cannot in-toggle this option. Can anyone notice dull green Color of toggles … suggesting they are unresponsive.

Did you find a solution because mine is grayed out like this! I can’t do anything with it. I unpaired watch and it’s still the same.

Thank you...simple and done! I doesn't make much sense to me to have face recognition for your phone and then let your watch unlock your phone!
