One of the recent updates - either iOS or watchOS added or activated a feature that apparently unlocks my Apple watch when I unlock my phone with Face ID. It is super annoying, and it happens every time I unlock my iPhone. Regardless of whether the watch is actually unlocked or not. How can I turn it off?

My watch is locked and I can’t access the watch app on my iPhone to toggle off the switch under passcode. How can I get it unlocked?
Look in settings on your watch (or the Watch app on your iPhone) under Passcode. Toggle off unlock with iPhone.
Did you find a solution because mine is grayed out like this! I can’t do anything with it. I unpaired watch and it’s still the same.

It’s another notification gimmick I don’t need!

I want the feature but WITHOUT the pesky message!!! I used it before, I like it, but since they introduced the message is super annoying, often covers something you need. Whoever genius came up with this message needs to reassess their vocation.

Go to your watch app then go to passcode and it should have the option at the top to turn off the locking mechanism
