is there a way to turn off the unlock with iphone on the Apple watch?

is there a way to switch off the unlock with iphone on the Apple watch? i tried going to settings and passcode but it wont let me swutch it off.

How do I change the setting on my watch to unlock with a passcode and not by unlocking my phone, when those options are grayed on on iPhone? My watch can only be unlocked by unlocking my phone (if the phone locks.) I am unable to change this setting on my phone because the area is grayed out. I want to be able to leave my phone at home and use my watch because I am paying for this service monthly.

Check the watch app on your iPhone.

Should be under Passcode (Unlock with iPhone) as a toggle.
