How to change your passcode on your iPhone if you have forgotten your passcode?

I forgot my passcode on my iPhone but currently using my iPad that’s linked up with my iPhone . Will adding a recovery Account from my iPad help me set up a new passcode for my iPhone 13?

Unfortunately no. A recovery contact is only used to regain access to your AppleID, not to a particular device.


If you have forgotten your passcode your ONLY option is to completely reset the device (erasing it) and restoring from an available backup.


If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen – Apple Support (AU)
