Does iPhone XR supports 5g?

It does not support 5G cellular.

Don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.

That said, AT&T has labeled their “enhanced LTE” network as “5Ge”.

5Ge will be displayed on devices connected to that network. It is NOT 5G. It is 4G. It’s a marketing ploy they used to con people into thinking they were getting something special on AT&T that they didn’t get on other networks.

That’s impossible. If you don’t have an iPhone 12 or newer, your phone does not contain the hardware required to connect to a 5G network.

None of those iPhones support 5G. Only iPhone 12-series models and later iPhone models do.

I'm not sure why you mentioned the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in the context of iOS 16.2. Those iPhones can't run iOS 16 or later.

The oldest model that supports 5G is the iPhone 12 series. iPhones released after September 2020 have 5G support.

The iPhone XR does not support 5G. It is from 2018.
