Magetic breakaway charger for MacBook?
Why did Apple get rid of the breakaway charging cord? If I tripped on it before, it disconnected. NOW it pulls my laptop off the table. Accidents happen - liked it better the old way
I don't know why they got rid of it … but the 13" and 15" M2 MacBook Airs, and the 14"/16" {M1/M2} {Pro/Max} MacBook Pros, all can charge either over USB-C or over MagSafe 3.
The 13" M2 MacBook Pro – the one that's basically a MacBook Air with a Touch Bar – doesn't have MagSafe 3. Which makes it the odd man out in the current lineup.
