Wired photo transfer from iPhone to PC takes a while

When I plug in my iPhone to my PC to upload the pictures i've taken for work (generally between 700 to 1200 photos) they show up in the folder but they appear one by one like if the phone had to load each individual picture. I had an 11 pro max that started doing this after the ios 17 update and now my 15 pro max does the same. My iCloud photo is turned off so I know that the pictures are on the phone. Even Airdrop doesn't work for more than 10-50 photos. Before I was able to send 400-500 photos by airdrop no problem. I use it for work and the way it works now really affect my work... Am I the only one with the problem?
