Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

Same here.

Because I have not yet exchanged my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the 15 trade-in process, I've been checking functionality between the two. Both have iOS 17.0.3...but the 15 is just not connecting to my bluetooth keyboards.

Wouldln't that indicate a hardware, not a software problem?

I think the 15 is going back to the ATT store until they get it right.

My iPhone 12 Pro Max running the same iOS version was having no issues automatically connecting to my car Bluetooth. I have “upgraded” to iPhone 15 pro and i have to manually connect my Bluetooth every time I get in my car. $1k phone… really?

I tried my Audi's factory connection. Connects sometimes, disconnects, one way conversation till it completely disconnects. Have Amazon echo auto as well, same results. AirPod Pros...same. It's a software issue but only seems to be on the 15 Pro Max. Called Apple support tonight and said no one is having this issue. 🤣 After I informed them there are hundreds of people complaining of the Bluetooth issues on Apple community help as well as Reddit she agreed that there is probably an issue. She did a remote diagnosis on my phone and everything came back as working. I said I know what it's saying, but I'm telling you as an owner of just about every single version of iPhone since the first, I have never experienced this before. She did have me reset the network settings but I know that won't work. I'll verify in the morning. Apple needs to at lease admit there is an issue and you are working on it.

My AirPods Pro connect but also have very low volume. I don’t use them that often and have never tried them on my 15 Pro Max until last night. My son uses them almost daily on his 14 pro max (my old phone) and has no issues.

Let's hope an update is released soon. My iPhone 15 Pro Max was delivered yesterday. It paired successfully with my Apple Watch, but it won't pair with my Bluetooth speaker, and forget Apple Play in the car.

I could not connect to ‘multi-media’ in my auto until I went into the auto’s menu and made the car search for it and connect. Connects every time now. (Toyo Venza 2011). Everything else connects. I am beginning to wonder if it is some type of ‘security’ thing, either in the phone itself or the mfr of the car’s electronics? My 15 PM now works pretty flawoessly. My Airpods Pro, speakers, and hearing aids are all working.

I have this issue too, Bluetooth would fluctuate between on and disable when at chaddie or my work’s office in the city.

I thought it was a hardware issue so I got apple to replace it with a new one.

Today immediately when I stepped into the office building my AirPods disconnected and it started happening again on the new replacement.

So confirmed it’s a software issue… now how does this forum work? How do we get apple to fix it?

Well i think i found a solution for the problem.

1. Remove all VPNs

2. Rename iPhone name to a small name like: Joao’s iPhone

3. Unpair your car phone Bluetooth.

4. Restart phone and pair car again.

for now works for me!

Installed the new iOS 17.1!

No change!

Bluetooth keyboards connect, but each character key must be held down for 2-secs minimum to see the character appear in the text box.

No help there!!!

My only solution with the bluetooth connection problem with my headphones is to shut off the bluetooth on the phone, turn it back on and then select my headphones and they reconnect. Yeah and I second your comment of working as it should and always has for $1,200.00! Sheesh! Really disappointed. I am wondering if I should get rid of the 15 Pro for a 14 Pro or is is IOS 17???

I have exactly the same problem, only with hearing aids, on newly purchased IP15. Never an issue with my iPhone 11. Have posted here and tried everything for three weeks. Yesterday, I spent about an hour on the phone with Apple Support, they downloaded logs and info from my phone. Lets see what happens. You should also call them, they need to know this is happening widely and is not an isolated issue. FYI: Apple Support tel # is 800-275-2273.

Also having same issue with iPhone 15 Pro. Replaced and still dropped sound with static. I think it’s to do with the iPhone 15 Pro and a hardware defect. Not occurring on iPhone 15. Disappointing. Have reported to Apple and even emailed Tim himself.

My IP 15P is also dropping BT and when it doesn't drop it often times there's static. Been going on for three weeks, since I purchased it. Bizarre.

Tried everything, then called Apple, which I urge everyone here to do, and they downloaded logs. Now I'm waiting. Apple Support (800 275 2273)
