My phone number won’t connect to iMessages. I keep getting the error message: “Activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage again to try again.” This occurred 4 days ago and I’ve spent over 12 hours at the Genius Bar and at Verizon. No one has answers.
I’ve tried:
- restarting my phone
- logging out of iCloud
- restarting my network
- toggling on/off messages
- buying a new phone…
- Verizon deleted my eSIM
- Airplane mode > turning off iMessages > turning off FaceTime > turning service back on > turning iMessages and FaceTime back on > restarting phone > waiting over 24 hours
- 2 visits to the Genius Bar
- phone calls with Verizon support
