That is correct. You can't update an iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 16 (or higher).

Why
The technical reason.......iOS 16 requires a chipset that the iPhone 7 does not and will not ever have.
The non-technical reason.....the iPhone 7 is too old.

iPhone 7 Plus cannot run iOS 16.
If you want to run iOS 16, you need an iPhone 8 or higher model.

No, if you are asking about iOS 16 for an iPhone 7.
If you own an iPhone 7, you can't have it, no matter how much you may need it. Buy a newer iPhone.
I beg your team to let us 7 plus users to update to iOS 16 and higher
You can ask, beg, plead and anything else that you can think of, but the iPhone 7 will never be able to update to iOS 16.
