How to Stop iTunes Store SIgn In Popup Window?

When I click the iTunes icon to open iTunes on my laptop, a popup window comes up that asks me to sign in to the iTunes store. I hit "cancel" 50 times, but the window just keeps popping up and won't allow me to use iTunes unless I sign in. I DON'T WANT TO SIGN IN! I just want to listen to my music locally, on my laptop. Is there a way to stop this **** popup window from coming up every single time? iTunes is non functional otherwise!
