I bought a new iPhone 15, then I did the total transfer from my old iPhone 7. Then later today I went to look at my files on my Mac and realised that all the iCloud files had disappeared. The folder structures were there, but the files were not! I feel that these two things are connected...
Can anyone at Apple iCloud help to address this?

Transferring data from one iPhone to another will not remove content on your Mac. However, if you removed the iCloud data on an iPhone and then that synced with your Mac, then those changes would reflect on all devices.
Turning on iCloud on all your devices and then signing in with the same Apple ID on each of them (as explained here: Sign in to iCloud on all your devices - Apple Support) will allow for syncing across all devices. Bear in mind that changes made on one device will sync to your iCloud account, then to all other connected devices.
