will not print 'filter failed'

Yesterday I added a new Canon Pixma G6050 to my Mac desktop running 'ventura 13.5.2', but it refused to print, saying 'filter failed'. The printer is 'Apple air print compatible' so there should be no problems, right? Wrong!

So after many hours (about 3) of searching the internet and youtube, and trying all manner of ways to fix this problem I finally discovered a way of disabling Apple air print. Simply go into the 'printers and scanners' box in 'system settings' click 'delete printer', delete the printer and then, click 'add printer' then under the printer's name eg. 'Canon pixma G6000 series' my printer's name (you must leave the original name in tact and in place), it says 'name printer' so I put 'Paul's printer', and beneath that it says 'location', so I put 'bedroom'. This apparently disables the air print to that printer, I then hit the 'print' key and it started printing, job done. Name and location can be anything you wish, eg. Mum's, Dad's, Herbert's; garage, loft, tool shed, west wing, blue room (depending on how much money your family have), etc.

If anyone knows a better way to disable 'air print' please post it. Thanks all.
