Can someone see if I listened to their playlist if we don’t follow each other?

Can someone see if I listened to their playlist but we don’t follow each other? My account is public and the other person is private. I ask this because when someone (we both follow each other) listened to my playlist (they didn't add it), I can see their profile show up at the bottom of the playlist under the header “Listened to Playlist”. So I’m wondering if this function is the same for people who don’t follow each other.

iPhone X, iOS 14

Hey anon511,

As friends within Apple Music, you can choose to share or hide your activity. If shared, you and those you follow, if they have it set the same way, can see what the other has been listening to. The same is not true if you do not follow each other, so you've nothing to worry about.

Take care.
