Siri doesn’t work on AirPod Pro

No matter how many times I forget and reconfigure AirPods, set press and hold to Siri, reset Siri settings with always listen on, siri simply doesn’t work with my AirPod pro 2s. After reading the forum for a solution this seems to be a long standing issue. Your products cost too much to ignore fixing basic functionality like this.

Hello SD1238,

We can understand wanting to get your AirPods working with Siri. We're glad you came to the Apple Support Communities for help. Make sure you are following the correct steps to set up and use Siri with your AirPods. You can find those steps here: Use Siri with AirPods Pro (all generations) - Apple Support.

Use your voice to activate Siri
1. Wear your AirPods Pro, and make sure they’re connected to your device.
2. Say “Hey Siri,” then use Siri to get answers to questions, control apps, and more.
3. For example, say something like “Hey Siri, what causes a rainbow?”
4. Tip: If you have AirPods Pro (2nd generation), you can also activate Siri with “Siri.” For example, say something like “Siri, set a meeting with Gordon at 9” to create an event in Calendar.

Press the stem to activate Siri
1. Wear your AirPods Pro, and make sure they’re connected to your device.
2. Press and hold the stem on either of your AirPods, wait for a chime, then make your request.

Note: To set up AirPods Pro (1st generation) to activate Siri when you press and hold the stem of either of your AirPods, see Change your settings to activate Siri with a touch.

We hope this information helps you out. If everything looks good, reach out to Apple for additional assistance at: Get Support
