Hello Heather0671,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you might have Voice Control enabled on your iPhone. We can show you how to turn off that feature by following the steps listed here: Use Voice Control on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

* To turn Voice Control on or off after the initial setup, you can use "Hey Siri," the Accessibility Shortcut, or go to Settings, select Accessibility, then select Voice Control.
* You can also go to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > Off
* Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Off.

We hope these steps help out. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care.
