I lose my keyboard when editing an e-mail in single screen mode. I can get it back by scrolling up and tapping on the subject line, but it’s a real PITA, especially for longer e-mails. This wasn’t always this way — it started about the time I updated from iOS 15.XX.XX to iOS 16.XX.XX.

Hi mrokloritron198,

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.

Are you referring to the onscreen key board, or do you have a keyboard connected or paired with your iPad?

Are you only experiencing the issue when crafting an email? If yes, are you experiencing the issue on the native Mail app or a third-party email app?

In the meantime, let’s check for a software update and make sure that you are running the latest version of iPadOS.

While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest software version for your device can help isolate potential software issues.

Kindly secure a backup and update.
