How to delete the “touch and hold to add widgets” screen

my Apple Watch constantly displays a screen that says: “touch and hold to add widgets” when ever I swipe up from the Home Screen. I used to get an option to ping my phone. That is fine and I only get the find widget screen. What’s going on? How do I delete that?

What is the context of the swipe? Trying to get to the Smart Stack from the home screen?


In watchOS 10, tap the side button to get the control panel, if that’s what you are trying to open.


If you’re in what Apple calls the Smart Stack, you can swipe up and down, or can use the digital crown to scroll.


watchOS 10 definitely has a number of user interface changes. Here’s the watchOS 10 user’s guide:
