how do tou turn on the iphone 14 speakerphone

Why do I now have to push the speaker button and then select if I want speaker or phone? I have IOS 17.2.1 on my iPhone 14. The phone used to ring and if I WANTED it on speaker all I had to do was hit the speaker button.

Tap on the Audio/Speaker button while on a call.

Enabling Speakerphone:

While on the call, tap the speaker icon on your screen.

You will have to select from a list if there is more than one audio option.

When you are making a call press the speaker icon and select iphone speaker
