ios 17.0.3 - wireless charging

Hi,

I am having issues with wireless charging after 17.0.3 upgrade. My phone is initiating the charge with mag safe and then the charging is stopped after 1-2 minutes (battery symbol turns white and stand by screen turns off). The same problem occurs in my VW ID 3. When placing the phone on the charging plate the charging is initiated but after a few sec the charging stops and a message appears in the car infotainment screen "this unit can't be charged right now, please remove the unit from the plate".

All worked fine before upgrade from 17.0.2.

The mag safe charger is working properly with other iPhones.

Running a week old iPhone 15 pro. Charging with USB C works perfectly fine.

Try a Forced Restart by following these directions EXACTLY:

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button
  • Then immediate press and quickly release the volume down button
  • Then immediately press and KEEP HOLDING the side power button and KEEP HOLDING it until the screen goes dark and KEEP HOLDING it until you see the Apple Logo, then let go
  • Sign back in when prompted with your passcode, then see if charging is normal
