Voicemail disappeared after last 2 updates on my iPhone 14 Pro.

Update to iOS 17.4.1 and your voicemails will come back. Then save them somewhere more secure than the Voicemail app.

Thanks for the report. What you and everyone in this thread should do is save important voicemails to some medium more reliable than the voicemail app.

Tap on a voicemail, then tap on the Share icon (square with an up arrow) and either save it to Files or some other secure location (such as emailing it to yourself).

I have an IPhone 15 pro max. Historically I was able to long press “1” to access my voicemails. Unfortunately this no longer works. Now when I long press “1”, the phone does go to my voicemails, but any currently recorded voicemails do not exist.

This seems to have started with the latest IPhone software update of 17.4.1.

It does not. Long pressing “1” does not provide recently recorded voicemails.

Prior to the 17.4.1 update, long pressing “1” took me to my voicemail folder and currently delivered voicemails were recorded.

I called my AT&T and spoke with the TECH Team person who had me go in and reset my network settings with him and I got all my voicemails back. He said be sure to not just speak to customer service but the TECH team who will know what to do.

I lost all mine , did all the suggestions …. This has made me want to switch to Samsung :( tho it won’t bring back my precious voicemails that I can never get back . My son sent me so many “I love you mom” voicemails , while he was away in the service … needless to say , I’d give anything to hear that voice again. Now … I got nothing … had I known I was gonna lose them , I would have found a way to transfer them somewhere else .., i was a fan of Apple , my whole house and family have Apple ..: not for long … that was an awful move Apple , bad move !

I’ve had voicemails I want to save as well. I always save them. It’s been a while since I’ve saved a voicemail, but I think it’s the little box with the upward facing arrow that is located somewhere on the screen if you were to press the old voicemail to listen to it. A pop up and you want to scroll to the right by swiping left and look for Voice Memos. Once you click that you can name the voicemail and it saves it to your Voice Memos.

To turn on/off Live Voicemail, everyone keeps saying to go into settings>phone>voicemail>live but I don’t have this option?

The same thing is happening to me. Apple keeps sending me to my carrier, Tmobile. I have an Iphone 13. This has to be connected to the most recent IOS update.

Thank you so much! This worked. I was able to restore my grandfather’s VM who recently passed. Both Apple and my carrier were entirely unhelpful.

My voicemails are all gone since update. I’ve been saving my best friend’s voicemail for 8 years since she had passed . Is there a way to retrieve it?

I was able to call in the old way and listen to the saved voicemails.
