Serial number showing no results

Hi, I am SSS, i purchased iphone 13 from amazon few days back i received an E-warranty slip & an Invoice . Now the serial number mentioned in the e-warranty slip is not showing any results while checking in selfsolve.apple.com or apple warranty check coverage link. Amazon is saying it might happen seller has given a wrong e warranty slip . Can his happen and if yes then as a customer whom should i blame for this apple or amazon.
