I get a hold for authentication message when printing from a Mac book Air running OS 12.7 via a Mac mini running OS 14.0.
I've tried resetting the printer system, re-installing the printer and re-installing the Epson drivers and have now run out of things to try.
Any suggestions?

Can you disable Bitmedic Pro for a test?
It's not clear which one is setup for Printer Sharing, but on the one doing the Printer Sharing, how is it set???
Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
Tried that, found that the only way that I could quit was through the activity monitor. I quit Bitmedic Pro and tried to print, with the same result and error message.
I've attached a screenshot from Activity monitor incase anything catches your eye.
The Mac mini (running Sonoma) is sharing the printers. Printer sharing is turned on in the printer setting and Printer sharing is set to "Everyone can print".
No VPN. I have Bitmedic Pro antivirus. No Cleaning apps.
How about the other Mac's AM?
