Mac Photos Albums syncing incorrect images randomly.

Mac Photos Albums syncing incorrect images randomly.

Images on my Mac are sorted into Albums in Photos. I have selected certain albums to sync to my phone when it is plugged in.

When I sync my iPhone, all of the Albums I selected from my Mac are visible, but a few of the photos (thumbnails and actual photos) are wrong. They show up with the correct metadata (date and time taken of the photo it is supposed to be) but the photo it is displaying is from another album, and they're photos taken years apart. It's very strange.

This has only happened recently. I needed to make room on my iPhone, so I removed some of the albums from my phone. I have tried turning my phone off and on again, and removing all photos and resyncing. The same photos are affected.

I am using a MacBook Pro 16-inch (2019) & iPhone 12, both with latest OS updates.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

We understand you're having issues with thumbnails showing incorrectly on your iPhone when synced from the Mac.
