How do I know when my iCloud is full?

I keep getting an email from someone claiming to be iCloud and they want my credit card information because my storage is full. If you already have my credit card information why should I give it again. I really don't think it is full

On your iMac, go to Apple menu > System Settings > [username] > iCloud and lock at the nn GB of nn GB Used at the top right corner (above the colorful bar graph) go click on the "Manage" button on that screen at look at the Available storage near the top of that window.
