Troublesome feature in Maps

Hello. Little background:

I was using Fuel app that shows gas station prices around country. I clicked ’navigate’ button so it would navigate me to cheapest gas station.

Now the problem part:

Once i did that, Maps app opened and i was met with annoying Step-by-step navigation that didnt keep my position (arrow) centered. I think you know what i mean just by looking at screenshot. I mean the part that is above with dots. I censored streets and destination on purpose. Its step-by-step, it doesnt keep blue arrow centered, i have to swipe right to find next turn and next step etc.

Would i open maps and write this same address manually it would navigate me ”normally” without stupid steps and keep arrow centered and it would be live.

Why is it feature? Can we please get an option in settings so it can be disabled? Please. I have no use for this. Its complicated, useless for me.
