Sonoma issues with Discord

Mac Os Sonoma is causing problems with Discord... my sound isn't going out. I tried fixed reference online and it doesn't fix the problem. How do I revert back to Mac Os Ventura, while the bug is being fixed? I'm using and M1 Mac mini.

Mac mini, macOS 10.12

I'm in the same boat. I'm using an RME audio interface, but still having the same issue. I can see my mic input in the MacOS audio panel. I have no issues recording from the "default mic" using Audacity. I can use a program called Piezo to record audio as well, even the Signal messaging lets me record audio messages without issues. It's just Discord, even after disabling all the possible automatic settings in Discord I still can't get microphone input to work. It's probably worth pointing out that application audio works fine in Discord. If I share my screen with someone I'm in a call with, they can hear the application audio fine. It's very strange indeed.

I've been trying to solve this issue for over two hours and the suggestion from @gigawatts ^^ (to download a program that would reinstall ACE, or in my case update ACE, using its own installer) is the only solution that worked -- every other option directed me to a version my my system preferences that no longer seems to exist (where there are actually tabs in "Privacy and Security" to change settings. Thanks gigwatts!
