iMac login problems since updating to Sonoma 14.0

Problem: Cannot login to iMac using wireless keyboard.

  • Boot the machine and login screen appears
  • Try to type password and nothing appears'
  • Tried an additional user login but system says that user is unable to login for 59 minutes.
  • Attempted above procedures numerous times without change of results.

Prior to this usage the user logged out and the machine was allowed to go into sleep mode automatically.

Get your hands on a wired USB keyboard and try again.

If the wireless kbd you've been using is an Apple Magic Keyboard with a USB charging port on it, plug the USB cable into it and it should behave as a wired keyboard.
