access issue from MacOS to Oculus Quest 2 with Sidequest ... MacOS inhibiting permission?

Does anyone in this community use Oculus 2 VR headset, and Sidequest on Mac to manage files o9n the headset? I have been using Sidequest for at least a year without issues. I recently tried loading a file, and Sidequest crashed. I updated sidequest, and followed install instructions, and am stalled at the "Allow USB debugging?" dialogue window in the headset. Clicking any button (cancel, allow, always allow this computer) does not succeed, the dialogue does not disappear unless I click twenty times, and then only temporarily. Have reinstalled software, rebooted both computer and headset, to no avail. Have done all the possible troubleshooting on the sidequest end. Is there some security feature in a Mac update which may be inhibiting access to the headset? Turning off antivirus software is one of the solutions, but I do not have one. Is there one potentially in the macOS?

Very odd. Any suggestions welcome. Have used for a year without this issue.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.3

Well I can share with anyone who runs into this issue… it was a faulty usb cable, with sporadic connectivity 😆 lesson learned, not to be fooled by new-looking cables
